Many years ago, my father fell in love with the beautiful countryside of the Eden Valley and fly fishing! So began a long lasting love affair, which saw the family relocate our farming business to the Cumbrian fells. When the farm sale fell through, father decided to purchase The Tufton Arms Hotel instead!
Based in such stunning countryside, with some of the best pheasant shooting available in the British Isles along with fishing for wild brownies on the River Eden on our doorstep, so began mine and my two brother's passion for fishing and shooting.
Being sportsmen we understand what accommodation providers need to offer to ensure a shoot party or fishing team have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This has been the secret to our success and the Tufton Arms has developed a renowned reputation as a sporting hotel. Over the years our connections with the sporting fraternity have grown and hence the idea for Fishing-Shooting.UK began.

A venture in Scotland, saw my brothers relocate to Perthshire, to a Hotel located in Comrie near the River Earn, set in the heart of fabulous stalking country. So now the family have two sporting hotels each with their own individual charm and offering the perfect venue for a short break in 
some of the most beautiful parts of the country. Both Hotels, are set just off major road networks and therefore also offer the perfect place to break the journey with an overnight stop or lunch as you travel on to, or back from your sporting holiday! You will receive a warm welcome and will no doubt meet somebody willing to listen to the tale of the one that got away!
